A resort can have rooms available while the preferred outdoor space is committed, or the ceremony area can be open while the ballroom needed for weather backup is being used by another group.
If your family has already chosen one particular weekend, ask for that date and at least one backup date now. If the resort can hold both while you review the commercial terms, ask how long the hold lasts and get the expiry in writing.
Couples who are flexible by one or two days can also compare Friday, Sunday or midweek options, but the point of this article is different from a Saturday-versus-weekday comparison: for 100+ guests in Belek, the reservation has to secure a complete resort solution, not merely a calendar date.
For 100+ Guests, Room Inventory Becomes Part of the Wedding Contract
A 100-guest wedding can easily translate into around 50 rooms if most guests share two to a room. Families, children, single travellers, suites and guests staying elsewhere can move that number significantly in either direction.

For a couple with 100-150 guests, this means the headline capacity of a major Belek resort is rarely the most useful filter.
The more important questions are:
- Which outdoor area is assigned to your ceremony?
- Where will dinner and dancing happen?
- Is that area private from other hotel guests?
- Which indoor space is contractually reserved if weather changes?
- Can another corporate group, wedding or hotel event use an adjacent area?
- Does the setup window give decorators, sound teams and other suppliers enough access?
The resort may be large. Your wedding still needs specific spaces protected for specific hours.
May Is Not an Empty Resort Month
Couples sometimes treat May as a quiet period between winter events and the peak summer holiday season. That is too simple for Belek.

That is one property's operating pattern, not a rule for every Belek hotel, but it illustrates an important reservation issue: in May, wedding couples may be competing not only with other weddings but also with meetings, congresses and group events for ballrooms, foyers, private dining spaces and room inventory.
This is another reason to ask the resort about the full event calendar around your wedding rather than only whether your preferred date is technically open.
May Weather Is Attractive for Outdoor Celebrations, but Keep the Backup Space
Official long-term Antalya climate data from the Turkish State Meteorological Service shows an average May temperature of about 20.7°C, an average daytime maximum of about 25.7°C and an average of about 5.2 rainy days during the month.
Those figures make May appealing for outdoor weddings because daytime conditions are generally milder than midsummer. They do not remove the need for a real weather plan.
For 100+ guests, a backup should be able to hold the seated dinner, entertainment, dance floor, catering operation and guest circulation - not simply provide a roof. The backup room should be named in the proposal or contract if it is essential to your decision.
Also ask when the resort makes the final outdoor-versus-indoor decision and whether moving indoors changes decoration, sound, minimum spend or staffing costs.
Can Reserving Earlier Make a May 2027 Wedding Cheaper?
It can make the budget easier to control, but only when the written agreement supports that result.
If a resort contracts your wedding now and fixes the agreed event price, menu basis or package terms, you gain protection against later price increases on those specific contracted items. If the balance can be paid in stages, signing earlier can also give you more months to spread the payments instead of concentrating them close to the wedding date.
That is commercially useful, but it is not the same as saying every early booking is automatically cheaper.
Some items may remain variable. Guest accommodation, optional decor, imported flowers or drinks, entertainment, outside suppliers, extra hours, taxes or services added later may be priced separately or recalculated. Ask the resort to separate fixed items from variable items in writing.

- What deposit is required to secure the date and event spaces?
- Can the balance be paid in instalments, and on what dates?
- Which costs can still change after signing?
- What happens if the guest count rises or falls?
- What are the cancellation and date-change terms?
If the contract gives you fixed commercial terms plus a workable staged-payment plan, reserving earlier can create both price clarity and easier cash flow. If it does not, the benefit of signing early is mainly availability rather than price protection.
Do Not Reserve the Resort Before You Know the Guest-Count Rules
“100 guests” at enquiry stage rarely stays exactly 100 until the wedding. A realistic contract should explain what happens if the number becomes 90, 110 or 125.
Ask about the minimum guaranteed guest count, the deadline for the final number and how additional guests are charged. Also ask whether reducing the guest count reduces the total event charge or whether a minimum spend still applies.
This matters particularly when the venue has been chosen around a large lawn, ballroom or banquet package. The contract should make clear whether the commercial commitment is based on people, space, food and beverage minimums, or a combination of these.
